#Do you guys see the way that Sherlock’s face just falls? #You can literally see how his heart is just shattered inside of his chest #because he thought that he finally had a friend #and he had never had one before so sebastian just didn’t expect it to be true #and you can see his face in the first gif he’s proud to introduce john as his friend because john’s the only friend he’s ever had #and when john says colleague you see him look down because he feels like he’s failed #he feels like John doesn’t think Sherlock’s good enough to be friends with and that he doesn’t want to be seen as his friend in front of other people #and it just breaks my heart

No, I think it’s canon that they’re friends. This is speaking in terms of canon, as in, what is true and has actually happened, therefore they are friends.
I actually want to hit John Watson at that moment. the fall in Sherlocks face HURTS
SEE? SEE? SEE?! They can be friends without being gay! I knew it!!
And I just want to point out the look on Sebastian’s face. The first gif of him is him turning to Sherlock in surprise and disbelief. As if he’s saying “Really? A friend? You?”
And then in the second one, he’s GRINNING at Sherlock, this evil, sick grin that says ‘Oh, I knew you weren’t friends all along. You don’t HAVE friends. It doesn’t work that way.’ It just hurts a little inside my heart.
John in the last one is just so “Oh god why did I say that I should have just agreed, we’re definitely on friends terms. Now I just embarrassed him in front of this guy. no why did i do that. no omg I’m such a dick.”
